Someone who attended basketball courses in elementary school, won awards in science projects in middle school, formed a band in high school, traveled abroad for adventures during university, and bought a house and a car before turning 30... I wasn't that person. I could never be any of those.
In my elementary school years, I was a kid playing games on devices called Atari but were actually knock-off Nintendos; spending time on the streets with football trading cards, soda caps, and pogs. In middle school, I got introduced to computers. I kept playing games, listening to music, making small remixes, and exploring programming. In high school, I was a DJ with regular shows on internet radio stations. I continued being interested in computers, browsing forums, and reading whatever I could find. During university, I gave programming courses in a club I joined.
Right after university, I started two master's programs, dreaming of an academic career. During this time, I worked as an Information Technologies and Software teacher for two years. I also served as a lecturer at the National Defense University for one year (as part of mandatory military service). After that, I quit the master's programs. In September 2019, I transitioned into the IT sector. Since then, I've been working as a Linux system administrator.
I'm someone who is extremely passionate about listening to music, a die-hard Formula 1 fan, enjoys video games and board games, and loves cycling. I also have a podcast called Gerekli Detay, highly recommended! :)
